Building Tomorrow’s Leaders
The night Chris Paul honored the passing of his grandfather by scoring 61 points in a high school basketball game was a night that will be forever remembered -- and the inspiration of Club 61. Chris’ grandfather, Nathaniel Jones, was a pioneer & the first Black man in North Carolina to own a Chevron gas station. It is at that gas station where Chris and his brother CJ worked and learned life lessons that would provide the leadership imprint for them to follow. Read more
With the partnership of local agencies, Club 61 is able to provide quarterly enrichment opportunities that are available for students to learn leadership and networking principles, as well as participate in forums and group discussions that cover the core areas of focus; educational & technological enrichment, financial literacy, community & civic responsibility, and health & wellness.

Leadership Summit
Dedicated to enriching the lives of kids by celebrating & encouraging the growth and development of good community citizens in all walks of their lives.
The Club 61 Leadership Summit brings together a dynamic cohort of teens from five community- alliance organizations for 3 days of leadership workshops, panel discussions & networking opportunities.
The select group of young leaders are exposed to premier thought leaders from around the country and given the tools and resources to take back and share with their peers.
